2009: Evolution!
We’re back and the new Burning Man Theme is already announced. EVOLUTION. The world around us dictates our evolution. Our breed, our community, evolving off each others nature. Its beauty in simplicity. Our path is variable as our thoughts project our way forward, reverse and in circles. I can’t wait!
“It is interesting to contemplate a tangled bank, clothed with many plants of many kinds, with birds singing on the bushes, with various insects flitting about, and with worms crawling through the damp earth, and to reflect that these elaborately constructed forms, so different from each other, and dependent upon each other in so complex a manner, have all been produced by laws acting around us. These laws, taken in the largest sense, being Growth with Reproduction; Inheritance which is almost implied by reproduction; Variability from the indirect and direct action of the conditions of life: a Ratio of Increase so high as to lead to a Struggle for Life, and as a consequence to Natural Selection… There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers… and that, while this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed laws of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and wonderful have been and are being evolved.“

Ready? Set. Go!
Well, I hope you’ve got your gear packed, your bike lights and and booze cause here we go. A few moments ago the Burning Man Countdown to the opening of the gate was at 1111. One Day, One Hour, One Minute & One second that is. And we’ll… I’m excited! I went ahead and scored some Grey Goose and twelver of Blue Moon and I just can’t wait!
Chub and his girl are doing a gum ball theme for their dress and bikes this year, simply aewsome! Pics coming soon! I’m just putting the finishing touches on some fur pants and packing the rest of my gear.
Aaron (Twitch) and I are bringing our own brand of Electronic music to the playa this year. Aaron is a DJ / Reason (propellerhead) musician who is featured on the TZR CARBON label. We’re both bringing our laptops and keyboards to the playa in an attempt to lay down some Burning Man inspired beats. Check back for downloads. We’ll, enough chat for now, I’m off to finish getting ready.
Unfortunatly N8 (Nate) can’t make it this year. Dude! We’re gonna miss you!

Get Your Tickets Now!!
Make sure to get your tickets before its too late! Paid $250.00 for mine got it in 4 weeks.
Nice design, but not very dreamy… Looks more like a ticket for a civil war re-enactment. Also, it seems that we don’t get any reading material with our package as we did for 2007. No map or brochure. But as always, I did get a fruity jaw-breaker to suck on while I pondered our celebration to come following the next few months.
I wonder what impact this years theme will have on our community. Will we pay homage to our countries symbols by burning them? Will monuments of war echo onto the playa. Or will we all be sitting infront of the boobtube eating our TV dinners while watching the brady bunch? Just who is this “american” and why are we being force fed it.
Of this “dream”, all remains to be seen. But boy, am I looking forward to a good time none the less.
Head on over to the burning man ticket office website to get yours. http://tickets.burningman.com

What is the American Dream?
What does the phrase “American Dream” mean to you? A interesting yet seemingly inadequate theme might be more out-of-the-box then one might think.
